Prologue - The Girl In His Dreams

Kai Hiwatari awoke suddenly. He sat bolt upright in bed, cold sweat dripping down his body. For a moment he couldn't remember what had woken him. Then he remembered the dream: A girl with long silvery-gold hair had been screaming and begging him to save her. She had seemed so familiar, yet he didn't know why.

Ray Kon, his former team-mate, was already awake. He looked round when Kai sat up suddenly. "Kai, what's wrong?" He asked. Kai didn't answer. Kai's Bit-Beast Dranzer was restless in its bit.

The other Bladebreakers; Max, Kenny(Chief) and Tyson, were all still asleep. It was 6.00am, time for them to wake up. Kai dressed and went straight to the training room, where he usually went to think. Ray also dressed, but woke the others up before going down to breakfast.

A few hours later, Kai was still in the training area. "Who was that girl? I feel as though I know her from somewhere in my past, yet I don't remember her." He said to himself, letting his Beyblade rip so hard it trashed the Beystadium. "Darn it!" He cried, frustrated.

Above the training area, the other Bladebreakers heard a girl screaming outside. Kai heard it, too. "No, it's the same scream from that dream!" He whispered. He ran up to the others and they all ran outside. A young girl about 12-13 years old had a rope around her, held by Kai's grandfather, Voltaire Hiwatari. "Help me!" The girl screamed.

Kai just stood there, shocked. "It's her..." He said. "It's the girl from my dreams..."
