This was weird. Took this whilst on the dog walk too. This guy was walking along the path and I took the picture, looked away, momentarily blinded b/c of the bright light of my phone to the darkness and this guy just came out of no where and scared the hell out of me. Although I think I scared him too. Some random person standing in the middle of a road taking a picture. hmm.

The tree farthest from you looks surreal. Like a ghost tree, just like you said. Sort of like that fence is the border between this world and another one.
