-a god among mortals-

< 'oceanic evening' by black phoenix

-a god among mortals-

such masculine beauty..

you are
a god among mortals
and mine for the taking.

how odd it is;
the infrequency
in which i crave your flesh.

skin slips in seductive dance,
warming hearts
waking
from a deep, cold slumber.
-lies, all lies-

i plunge
into the icy waters of your lust.
i bathe
in a sea of confusion.

i take you
because i can.
need and desire
hold no ground in this battle.
my heart..
my soul..
will not surface.

i really wish that the poetry categories were organized differently. it would be nice to post my writing about relationships into something other than "happiness/love" or "emotional."

i have decided to give brief explinations to my writing from now on since many of them have been taken the wrong way.

this particular piece explains that i am infatuated with the beauty(physical attributes) of someone i was recently involved with.. i then go on to say that my heart is not in the relationship and blah blah blah.. you can figure it out im sure.
