War isn’t that nice, really… part 2

The squadron literally sprang into action. Boz was the first to move, and made a silent dash for the foot of the ladder. The Darksiders on duty did not stir, to his great relief. He made a signal for the rest to assume positions. Harry joined Boz over to the ladder, whilst Gregs dashed into a patch behind some gorse, out of the moonlight. Indy and the Sergeant hung back, until Boz gave another signal.
“O.k, this is it lad…”

For the start, they weren’t sure how to go about it. They thought they would have been spotted by now. That is, until Gregs radio’d the captain complaining it was too cold. The on duty guard stirred slightly, (he was probably asleep anyway), and looked around a little. “Meh*… probably just a bird.” The guard thought. He went back to his chair, and relaxed a little. The captain signalled that he was ‘A foo’ and continued pondering about what to do. In the tower, the gaurds started talking a little.

“I thought I heard something back there” the first one said.
“Really? I wouldn’t count on it, those lightsiders are chickens! They wouldn’t come anywhere near us!” the second guard said mockingly.
“I dunno. I heard one of them ran on top of a bomb to get his shoe after it fell off, he didn’t even flinch.”
“I didn’t think he could survive that.”
“I didn’t say that he survived.” There was a stunned silence from the second guard, as the first continued humming a little tune.

Meanwhile, the Seargent continued re-pondering his plan of action. He was absent mindedly feeling a smooth, cylinder like object in his pocket. He suddenly realised what it was, and pulled it out.
“Of course…” he whispered under his breath. In his hand he held a silver, tube-like object, with what appeared to be a piece of string at the end. Indy recognised it to be a flare. He guessed what the Seargent would do next, but he would confirm this with his leader.
“Are you signalling for assistance?” he inquired.
“Heck, no! I’m using this as a decoy. Hopefully it will signal something to the darksiders, and then… well, never mind. I’ll se if I can set it off over there”, he said as he indicated a small sort of molehill about a 2 metres or so away. He crawled silently over to it, and put the flare in at an angle, with the string, (which was, of course, a fuse,) just above the earth. He pulled out a match, and lit it with a lighter. Big mistake.

There was a great commotion in the guard tower above. Voices were raising the alarms. The flicker of the fire was the giveaway. Before they had a chance to do anything, they were all being aimed at from above, by as much as 20 gaurds, each armed with a shotgun and laser sight.
“Do not move!” one of the leading gaurds commanded. Immediately, another small reserve of gaurds came down the ladder, and took the whole squadron as prisoners. They were marched back up, and into the tower. They were now prisoners of war.

zOMG they've been captured!

This one is slightly shorter, but I'll make up for it later.
