I watch as you walk by on his arm
Wondering at what point I screwed up
What I did to cause you harm
I watch you pass me by without a look
Perhaps you won't be in alarm

Sitting down at my desk
Replaying the past events
From the mind games to the sex
I wonder how long it will be
Until the end of this hex

Every day and every night
Spent with you is now just a memory
One that haunts, one that takes a bite
Out of my heart to slowly
Make sure it never again takes flight

I put everything I had into you
And now it goes to these final words
I just wish you had some sort of clue
To what was going on with me
Changing color, from red to blue

Running across the wrist
Taking years off my life
I wish once love would have kissed
The fragile soul this body bears
It looks like I'm another body you can cross of your list

A follow up on the selection, "I Loved You..." (http://www.sheezyart.com/view/258231/). Memories came up again and so I decided to write. The more I think about it and write stuff like this, the more I realize that love just isn't for me.
