Another critter for the project. This is a "Burtile", and both the name and the actual critter itself still needs fixing up.
"Burtile" have only three "limbs" - two wings that can be used to fly and climb with effectively, and a tail (which I drew WAY too short here) equipped with "fingers" and a venom-secreting barb.
In any case, this is a male from the species (which is why the horn on it's head is so long and why it has odd patterns as well as "feathers" on it's back - used to attract the female during the breeding season) This critter falls under the "Color Family".
And, if it looks like a regular ol' dragon to you, it isn't supposed to, and I have failed. Let me know if it does. It's not like I can't "fix" it in later renditions. :)

Ah! I'd love to see this critter move about. Seems like a really interesting method of locomotion if it were on the ground. And I've always loved toned paper :)

perhaps if you wanted it to look a bit less dragony, you could make the wings more like a flying squirell, where they are joined to the tail by a flap of skin.
what really makes the wings look dragonish is the batness of them.
uh, yeah. nice job though i really like it.
