Please note that I am coloring the background and working this throughout... Also I added water to the watercolor pencils. Most likely it will be a night sky with a cyan purple color. I know it may not be as nice as it was to some of you. I'm sorry that a lot have preferred the unfinished look but this is not only practice but discipline in finishing a piece. (that and for selfish reasons I WANT to see this finished! lol)
On a side notw, I've learned a lot and am in love with watercolors now. Thanks for the support! I honestly didn't expect this much feedback.

Very nice. It looks sad... it should be, for it is a unicorn.

WOW. Thanks for the comments. Need to totally undo the cheek structure. Will finish tomorrow if my pencils STOP breaking.

I really love this as it is. Unfinished, dirty. I like the veins.
If you want to make it smoother, do you know the trick where you rub over the top with a SHARP white pencil (a cheap brand, less likely to fade your work), or the 'clear' prisma pencil? Also you can try using a q-tip, same sort of thing, if not a bit more work. The idea is just to push the pigment into the grooves somehow, making it look smoother.
But again, I rather like the rough texture. Great work. :3
