Zero

Corruption
Greed
Indifference
ruined the world
leaving everything damned
for all eternity.

The government
even trusted
twisted everything to its own ends
stealing and plundering
to leave its public
poorly scraping by
to feed themselves
each of them
without a voice
or a say
into what they did.

Ages ago
before all the wrongs
there was once
a hero
a lone hero brandishing a saber
clad in red armor
whose blade taught his foes
the gravest of lessons
who fought to unite his people
who above all else fought
for the fortunes of all.

Long gone through the mists of time
the tried and true warrior
stood as a hope
to all who remained of his brethern
to never forget his sacrifice
to never regret his ultimate choice.

To keep his memory alive
the Legend was passed
the Legend of the Crimson Fury
the Legend of a hero
the Legend of a friend
who fought all alone in the impending dark.

Search
many have
for the tomb of his
none have ever come close
no one would see
its inner sanctity;
for hidden it was
within the darkness' hollowed depths
where no one dared to tred.

Locked behind his prison
he slept
dreaming of his beloved
whom he had lost
to cradle her he did long
as the image froze
a single tear slid down his cheek
at what he could not save
his beloved lost through
the tragedies of war
never to hold her ever again in this world.

The nightmares
suspended in his consciousness
seemed to haunt him
as his friend was lost
self sacrificed
to save the world
from Death's scythe
agony screamed through his enmity
as his face glistened
and faded
never to be full of life once more.

Gritting his teeth
in his confinement
his body replenished
and totally free of evil
twitched from the tortures
of the flesh;
slumbering still somewhat peacefully
until the time
he would be needed
to complete his final task
the task his love promised
would be his last.

The sleeping machine meets flesh
would live a legend
reawaken a world torn apart
re-breath life into a disasterous world
uniting everyone
man and machine.

See his face
know it well
for when he awakens
he will smite your evil
from this world.

The Crimson Fury
you should fear him now
for in the darkness
and in the light
he knows the depths
of your wickedness
and he won't forgive it
end it he will.

His name remember it well
engrave it inside your mind
for he alone
stood up against an endless army;
for he alone survived
when the fighting was done;
for he alone will stop
your evil
like he used to do
long ago.

I wrote this poem as a prelude to my upcoming third fanfiction, The Fall of Reploidom. I know I should be working on the last chapter of book three first but I had to get this one out of my head. *laffs* Anyway... I hope you folks like this. I put a lot of effort into it.

This image came from a screenshot of Mega Man X5. It is the property of Capcom, not me.
