You may not be able to see it from my gallery- but I've been on a Knuckles kick as of late. :3 (my sketchbooks full-o doodles of 'im!) This was one sketch that looked fairly good, and when I went to color- went totally wrong. =/ But- I guess that's a lesson in Photoshop for meh. *shrugs*
Really, the only thing I'm totally bummed about is the sky. I wanted clouds in there- but I just couldn't get the damn things to look right.
So I got lazy and slapped something on that looked like a cloud.
I tried a new technique with the rock wall he's climbing too. I used
's tutorial on how to make ice cliffs and substituted brown for the blue. (Thanks for that tutorial by the way- very helpful!)
Anyway... meh. Tell me what you think.

That certainly is beautiful! Knuckles was the best of them all so you got a good fad going there! You did nice job on the bg, ;like the contrasts in color from muted to the bright reddish orange of the canyon wall. Clouds are hard to do, I'd suggest using references when you first start out. Once you get the hang of them, it becomes second nature :)!
