This idea has been stuck in my head awhile, so I finally did it. This is one of what will be a tryptic of native Indian cats. I have never painted any sort of real clothing, so this was my first go at a sari. It was also my first time using colored india ink over watercolor; and somehow I found this an appropriate time to try that
The other two, a tigress and an asiatic lioness, will be forthcoming.
The full image is 12"x18".
The colors are much more vibrant in the original, eventually I will have a much nicer scanner

It's very pretty! I like the background a lot.

The texture on the background is a beautiful thing -- but the head just steals the show -- beautiful. The shape of the face and nose is just perfect.

Amur leopards are a special favorite of mine, and I've always loved India's art and culture. Add to that you used my favorite russets, golds, and blues, and you just know I have to absolutely love this piece! Gorgeous work, Fox!
