What an amazing shot of a peacock. There are some at a place near us but they are in smaller pens where it is impossible to get a nice picture. I remember going to Florida when I was a kid and seeing some there, including a male who was pretty assertive and would walk right up to us with his tail fully fanned. Its funny the pictures you have in your mind that you wish you had in a more permanent form.
what a great pic... i was at the zoo a few years ago, and saw a peacock sitting on the fence just like that ('cept it was facing me). i wanted to snap a photo of it, but i guess i got too close and...
...that was when i learned how much peacock claws hurt. it flew at me, clawed my arm (it was going for my face but thankfully got my arm up in time) and flew away.
but you managed to get this picture without too much trouble, right?

Peacocks are evil to me! I spent a summer working in the fields for cash and was chased by a peacock.
