Bleach portrait 01/??

Kind of no story behind this picture. I am reading bleach at the moment.. and I just love it to bits.
I think everyone is so freaking cool i have nerdgasms every chapter.
ANYWAYS I saw this pic and thought ooh cool pic, then saw the colour version in the chapter i got.. and thought.. well.. nothing. I mean the colour version was not BAD.. just had no life.
SO no more generic 'bishie' style colourings from me. These characters have so much LIFE.. and even if they are pretty I just dont care.. I want them to look COOl not.. NICE.
So here is the first. I know that I automatically jinx it when i say there will be more.. but i think there will be.
UPDATED: slightly changed him to give him "more INTENSITY!!". thineed his cheekbones.. removed some of the softy glow.

His face and eyes stand out the most. Ichigo's eyes seem to practically glow. I wish I was that skilled, and with a mouse, no less! I've started using your colored pieces for reference when I try coloring things. I wish I knew what happened to the colored versions of Toshirow Chiba's sketches that I had...those were really good for shading and color studies, not to mention how you shade liquids, it's so realistic.

I know I'm attached to this manga. I just got done yesterday catching up from chapter 142 - 155...not I'm sitting here waiting for the next chapter for me to blast through. Lol. Love it so far

That shading is so awesome, I really do love this, you made some real depth in Ichigo there. *_* The manga is so addicting, since I was watching the anime then I was given the link to the manga...the manga is like sugary candy-crack- you can't stop eating and there's never enough

I like how Ichigo isn't like the typical good-doer like other hero's :)
I like the CG, though the contrast between a soft-shade colouring and a clean lineart is somewhat harsh. :s
Ah well guess I got those idea's from an old friend of mine who didn't like soft-shade on a black lineart himself
