So... I was channel surfing at my Father's house yesterday, and lo! I stumbled upon the movie Onmyoji 2 which dealt heavily with the Amaterasu/Susano'o/Yamato no Orochi mythology. *Very* awesome movie. Enjoyed only having to sometimes rely on the subtitles to understand the majority of the movie.
But it got me inspired to draw, and so behold, the final sketch that's just waiting to be inked. I may yet add another tail since supposedly this 8-headed draggie/snake had two of them. Hmmmmn.

I think I've heard some of that story. Didn't a part of it deal with a warrior who put that monster to sleep with sake, and then cut off it's heads? Something like that. Good job on it!

Lovely picture, I have a dragon incense statue that has a dragon with a lot of heads like this one. It's neat since it spews smoke out of the mouths. Anyhow, awesome job with this picture. =3
