Squall Leonhart and Vincent Valentine-Smiles

You can tell how much Shahni's enjoying getting back into RP-groove.

Squall and Vincent on their first date!. Which included Vincent dragging Squall to Midgar for the ShinRa Weapons' Exhibition that draws in crowds from every Squaresoft/Square-Enix game!!! And they participated for demos and got souveniers (MOGPEN!!..no..really, they got better things..but Vincent liked getting the Mogpen.. so he got it for Squall and had their picture taken!!! ).

Specially dedicated to my dearest soulmate Lauri~ without who, this pairing may never exist.

Oh, and a slightly angst-filled post from where that news report first came into being.. awwww. Boys are going through some tense feelings / times!!!! ;________; Summary : Vincent makes suggestive jokes to Fei Fong Wong who is Squall's friend and freaks him out (Even though Squall warned his roomate Vincent not to behave as such..but Vincent was pissed that he was being taken as some pervert and acted like a slut deliberately). Later when Vincent returns to his room late, they get into an argument and Vincent, who never sleeps and suffers simply because of Chaos posessing him - is pissed that Squall is jumping to conclusions about him. . and hurt. And suddenly, both the boys are feeling a sort of pain that they can't explain. )

Vincent: ....
He slowly took a step forward, pausing by his bedside table and bending to open the first drawer and pull something out. He waited, before turning around again and slipping it open, revealing a paper which seemed to look like it had something glued to it, as well as a couple of matte-backed sheets ,three to be exact.Holding this, he walked right back to Squall, his gaze once again calm but still very placid. Without a word at first, he held the sheet out to Squall.

What he would see was a copied newspaper cutting, an entry from The ShinRa Global Times that circulated in Midgar. The title on the specific cutting was "Students display Promising talent." with a subtitle of ".. Weapon Management and skill display draws in crowds." And below that, were two pictures. Of Squall when Vincent had prodded him on to explain the maneuvering of Gunblades and Vincent and Squall in that mock-battle session with the Death Penalty and Lionheart models..and finally, a nice duo shot the two had had near the ice cream stand. There were pictures of other students as well who'd participated, but naturally, those weren't what were the focus of this.

"..My Matron sent this early in the morning. I forgot to show you." he handed the sheet to Squall, and the three pictures beneath were colored mattes of the pictures in the clipping..and the largest..was their duo shot. Where Squall actually looked like he was smiling despite Vincent's grab hold on him.

What an illusion.

"...she sent the extras for you. You can do what you want. Please Excuse me." was all he said, gazing at the boy emptilly, a shadow of his friendliness showing, before turning around and walking back to the end of the room to his closet, and heading towards the bathroom.

He needed a shower. A very cold shower.

Vincent hated the cold.
