This was a sketch I had that I wanted to finish. Xadrixath was a rather unpopular, nasty dragon that harnessed the power of necromancy to its highest of levels. Disabled from the time he hatched, he learned to manipulate the art to compensate for the physical limitations he had. His left hind leg, chewed and mangled from when his hatchling siblings attacked him, was malformed and nearly useless in strength. His body sported numerous lacerations and scars from when his own mother attempted to kill him, and, so great was the trauma he experienced, that it caused his growth to be stunted to the point he never fully developed past adolescence.

He had been discovered by a local necromancer's daughter, who in turn took the dieing baby dragon into her care and nursed him to health. Xadrixath used her as a means to enrich his knowledge in necromantic arts and, once he achieved enough power, he took over the keep and enslaved all within (with the exception of the daughter... she proclaimed herself his mate).

Xadrixath's true power lies in the ability to harvest the energy of others. Unlike regular dragons that spit flame or poison as their means of defense, Xadrixath would cast his spell upon his victims then inhale and absorb their souls. By engulfing their strength, he was able to fortify himself and grow in power both physically and mentally.
