aarg. this was beautiful in my mind. didn't translate very well.
if i like a character, i tend to give them backstories that contradict their personalities. surien is rather bright compared to what she's been through.
backed off the filters a bit. let's see how susessful it was.

Oh, but it -is- very beautiful. The character design is very nice too - and the sketchiness of the background really does well in contrast to the colourful foreground character ^___^
Did you use markers? Copic or prismacolour? I'd like to know.

i think it translated damn good, personally. she seems so very distant from what's going on behind her, or rather inside or in her past or whatever.

This has been amazing since the day posted. Complete and utter skittery shadows behind a soft blue smile. By far, you continue to advance in your coloring skills; I espeically liked the finger shading on the hand with colors.
