My Dark Place
Can't you see that my skin is white..?
because I've hiding away from the light
It's when I finally step into the sun
that I'll find I'm not the only one
It's in this room of quiet fear
where I hid away, thru silent years
The windows boarded, and doors locked
I stayed alone, until you knocked
When you had called out, I'd feared again
but you insisted that I let you in
I sat before you, still weak and frail
but then I saw that your skin was pale
This dark place I hid in, it wasn't alone
others have also called it their home
But how did you manage to break away...
build up the strength and make it out ok?
When you find out that you're not alone
it can help bring your lost soul home
And although the pain doesn't just go away
it will help you walk out, and into the day

Very good symbolism. The room representing the self abandonment of the world, and the pale skin showing a person has been cut off for a while. And then the person breaking you out also pale skinned, i was kind of surprised at that part, i was expecting the person to be a 'nomral' complexion.
and i like the line, "it can help brin your lost soul home"
*slurps* good stuff.
And yeah, I think we all go through something like that sometime o r another.
