Taking a peek

A friend of mine made me do this.. Since I can't draw humans in the least bit, feel free to point and laugh, but once done with it, please tell me what's so laughable, so that I can correct it. Also I know that my shading needs work (major lack of highlights...)
But, yes, to the image... Ghares, the apprentice at the front, (who's wearing a robe, that's not supposed to be a dress xD) is looking at his master, the dark elf and dark mage, Magisteral Deathfeather. And his eyes are too high up XP Those black lines are actually black tattoos that are supposed to be under his eyes.
And oh yes:
Ghares and Deathfeather belong to my friend!
