I haven't really done this in a while, but sometimes, ya need a study to get down certain movements/poses in yer artwork. I'd suggest actually posing in a mirror, a long, tall one if you can get it. It feels silly at first, but you'll get a better grasp on how a body moves, and what the body is capable of.
Try this technique out ta get down some dynamic poses for yer artwork, if tha's the issue :)

My problem is getting the photos right. I have no one who'd take the photos for me, so I'm always inventing ways of taking tricky photos :) But you;re right, studies help you a whole lot. Care to help me conduct a study upon the purely academical aspect of the nude Fenrir physionomy? *grins*

Being someone who struggles for more "natural looking" poses (rather than having them looking stiff and forced) things like this are actually quite helpful. I wish the stock art on DA were geared more toward things like this, rather than all those super high res "boring" shots that are geared more towards Photomanipulators rather than being used as reference shots. :(
You should do stock art like that sometime... The poses here are creative and I could see them as being very helpful (especially to aspiring comicbook artist). You're in good shape too, which always help when drawing from photo references.
Just a thought!
