"My Name Is Potential," He Said Under The Streetlight

dont you know how bad it hurts
to be fixated on what you want
or to want what you need
though you can not have

even though the lust is even tied
beneath the laces of his shoes
or ruffeled in his formal shirt
the options open, but the lock is broken
even though you have the key

its almost sweet
how cold his knees
get when he is alone

...how he thinks when no ones home

and drives you mad
as he poses with out knowing
his innocence is showing
as the wind is blowing through his hair

under the street light
where the stars arent too bright
he leaves you stunned
though his motions of his lips are about as artificial as his heart

as then he cleans the blood from under his finger nails
and wipes his hands upon her dress
she lays upside down under the street light
wishing she knew his name
so she could do this
over and over again

Its about the person I currently fancy...I wrote a poem about how it just might work...but then a twisted thought came into my head

"...and how he thinks when no ones home"

that pretty much set off the rest of it...about how what could become yours could become everything you could ever despise...lose control...and you want him so bad, its all just routine.
