Part 1
Once in a while
a time comes to test.
This is not a test
that can be studied for.
this is not a test
based on your knowledge.
This is a test
Of who you are
and what you believe.
This test has no right or wrong,
Just a gauge of who you are.
This test, is a test of love.
A test, of who you love,
Of who you care for
Of where your loyalties lie.
This is a test
A test, you all will face.
A test, based on yourself
Never on those who surround.
Part 2
Sometimes you look around,
and think, trying to understand
but you find,
there is no truth
nothing to settle,
nothing for peace
I have begun my search
to find, anything
but, in my search
my mind is dark
blinded, hidden, ignored.
finding, seeing, nothing
The time draws near
to drop, my only fear
the time, when i get tested
is coming, before i know
my mind, weakened by the plight
prepared, however little, for the fight
I don't know if i will lose
I don't know if i will win
it is up to me to choose
its up to me, and only me.
Part 3
Sometimes we are tested
to see where loyalty lies,
to test us, to prove commitment,
to see if we keep our word.
Times of sorrow,
times of anger,
times of struggle,
times when we are needed.
Many say they are loyal,
many promise to help
but when the time comes,
people deny their self
I am not one who shatters
a promise that i have made
I am not one who hides,
when a problem has been made
I keep to my will
my promise, do I fulfill
