An Evening of Elegance

I'm lazy, so you get the same description as Artail.

I spent over a week on this, and though I thought I would have a novel to write about it, I really don't.

It was my first attempt at a new style -- kinda frustrating, really. I sketched and inked this last July and got buried in an enormous commission and had to put it on hold until after getting back from California this January.

So, after digging up the file and staring long and hard at the Sonic Team styled inking complete with winding staircase background that I decided not to use at the last minute, I thought, "You know, I'm not really feeling that direction anymore. Bye bye hours of inking!"

This is the result of my fickle indecisiveness. Mie is very pleased.

Edit: I really shouldn't upload things until I show Tom. Tom is awesome in every respect, and anytime I think even subconsciously that there may be something even slightly naggingly off with whatever latest project I'm working on, I show Tom, and bam! If Tom sees it too, mie knows what must be done. So, here is the final final.

I doubt most of you will be able to tell precisely what I tweaked, but Mie knows. Mie knows, and mie likes it better this way. Thus, all is well.
