Somehow, being killed by something the size of your mace's head while it uses something you'd use for a toothpick is more terrible and evil than any amount of nipples and penises and spooge fests could amount to when it comes to corrupting your mind.
That, and they're just damn SCAREY LOOKING! I'd rather my kids (if I had any ) go watch Terminator or Alien than be subjected to the horror that is a gnome in full platemail, or masked and evil with little toothpicks yet capable of immense and unbridled PAIN! >_<
