My Views on Anime
Anime was cool when it was a cult thing that only geeks like me enjoyed. Once it became mainstream and everyone started to get into it, around 2000, that's when it went downhill.
Everyone is obsessed with Anime, there's no more original styles of art for the western culture - the majority is drawing Anime. And then there are those kids who obsessed with speaking Japanese, naming all there Role Play characters in Japanese, and drawing/reading about gay Asian men.
Don't get me wrong, I still LIKE Anime, but seeing all of this happen so fast, if not at all, has killed my urges to turn on a television set or set foot outside anymore. Do you know how embarressing it is for me to flip through Graphic Novels at a bookstore, becuase of all this?
It disgusts me to see that a simple country has all of Western society in the tight grip of its hand like this. :/
And all these Anime-obsessed people verbally raping me for my views isn't helping. x.x

Ah, yeah, I agree fully. I miss being part of the geeks that loved anime.
The thing that gets me is that its on TV all the time, every day, and what they are showing, licencing and voicing over, are the worst choices ever.
Basically I think whoever is licencing these things have no idea- "oooh! they duel with cards and monsters!! that's popular, you're liceneced!"
I'd rather stick to downloading the fansubs. They never fail to let me down.
