This was one of the first mammals I've ever painted at the professional level. I love arctic foxes and I used to collect pictures and figurines of them whenever I could find them. The reference I used for this piece was from that collection. I like this piece very much because of it's tranquility and soft colors.

It's fantastic... the pose, the way you did the fur especially is amazing. Shading white fur can always be a pain sometimes, but you do it so wonderfully and realistically! And I love the background, it's perfect. Cute little sleeping foxy! And gah, how you shaded the snow... I've tried drawing snow yet always seem to fail, you did it so well!

You did a lovely job with the shading...I love the lavender, pink, and blue hues in the shadows. He looks positively pettable. :)
