The sublime Miss Yamamura Sadako of the "Ring" series fame. Isn't she lovely?

First in my series of tributes to the female ghosts of famous Japanese horror films. Sadako holds the biggest piece of my heart out of them all, so I drew her first. Expect such ladies as Saeki Kayako (Ju-on/The Grudge), Kawai Mitsuko (Dark Water), and Kawakami Tomie (Tomie) to show up later on.

Woo, very cool and creepy looking^__^ The blood splatter is a nice touch that really adds to her "evil-ness", I think.

I've just went through your gallery, systematically full viewing your 'Women of Japanese Horror' Series, from 10 to 1. I know of some of them, but Sadako has always been my favourite.

Thus, through your unique outlook and portrayal of this twisted soul. You get a favourite.

Beautiful. Ringu was my first experience with Japanese horror and the ending is one of the only times I've been freaked out enough to pause the movie. Remake can't hold a candle to the tense original.
