I haven't drawn anything in a while, and I just bought a new sketchbook... So I drew up a 1920's inspired scene from the arcade classic Donkey Kong! I gave the two of them a bit of a redesign, with spaghetti limbs and such. The original Donkey Kong was inspired by Popeye the sailor, so I thought the style would be a perfect fit.

Veestah Says:

I love the idea behind this.
More than that I love the architecture.

Curious, did you model the picture after any particular level design, or just wing it?

Either way, this is great. Colored boldly, this would make a great poster.

Tsukasa Fan Says:

I love how you 3-D'ed it
it kinda gives it a modern flare to the 1920s cartoon look
were you planning on coloring it in Grey Scale?

The Calm Minded Tai Says:

Very amazing. it brings back a nostalgic feel all around.

Eemp Says:

This is SO FRIGGIN' CUTE. Jeez. I love his little moustache. Good job!

Terrence Noctra Says:

Now I suddenly want to play this game.

Thank you, nostalgia.

BewareTheJim Says:

The only thing that would make this better would be a screaming Paulina.

Rion 0 Says:

I'll buy two. No, three.

The Red Guy 25 Says:

Holy crap.

I love the 1920's feel! You really accomplished it here. I'd love to see this inked and/or colored.

Zega Says:

ok wierd timing I just happened to notice this after I posted a picture of sonic the hedgehog with this classic look, clearly you pull it off much better than I did Greatness

QuestionTheMajority Says:

If only I understood Flash. I've wanted to make a silent black-and-white cartoon about Mario and Luigi in this style for a long time now.
