if they looked through that little hole they would see a layer of happiness everybody uses to ward them away but the ones who look deeply will see the pain and misery everyone has shut up into themselves so they wouldn't see it for themselves. they hope that the one looking won't see it, i mean how are we supposed to share something that we ourselves don't want to see?
