The Voice Of A Siren Rest Be It Me
Turn me off.
Pull the plug.
Flip the switch.
But do not kill me.
I just want rest.
A break from all this stress and suspense.
And as you do.
Sing to me, a lullaby.
So that I may sleep peacefully.
As the stars align so will my thoughts.
So mixed up, so lost.
Sing to me.
I beg, please sing with the voice of a siren.
Then just turn me off.
Kill the switch.
Do what you must.
Just don't kill me.
All I want is rest.
Just a short nap.
A break from it all.
A break from life.
Let me dream in infinity.
But not indefinitely.
So sing to me.
And pull the plug.
Just for a while.
And give me some peace.
I love it when you sing.
So just don't stop.
At least for me.
Goodnight for now.
A siren from the clouds.
One day, I'll sing alongside you.
