The idea pretty much came from a Minato x Kushina fan fiction that I had read. Here's how it went:

Minato: 'It was probably wise not to send them to Jiraiya - there was no telling what thoughts the Frog Hermit might implant in their innocent minds. A few weeks back, when Minato had left the three in his care and had come back to find Kakashi and Obito giggling.Giggling! Rin had looked rather haughty. Afterwards, when Minato had inquired what they’d been doing, Kakashi had simply said “dirties” and Rin had scowled, which had further enhanced the blonde’s suspicions.
Even after a session of severe interrogation of Jiraiya, Minato didn’t find out what had happened. He could only assume the worst if he knew his Sensei - and he did. Too well.'
