Was thinking about this the other day the fact that some people believe they can make anthromorphic 'furry' characters that are werewolves, however a werewolf isn't a furry here's some points to consider:
Anthro' Wolf -
- Humanoid wolf
- Can have any mood,personality
- Has a tail
- Always looks like a wolf

Werewolf-
- Human changed into a wolf creature
- Cursed
- Bloodthristy,vicious and very strong
- Lacks a tail

Now you can see what I mean. A werewolf is a cursed human whereas a furry is not. End of ¬_¬

The Empty Forest Says:

Yes. People seem to misunderstand the difference.

WereBear Says:

werewolves have tails. there are actually several different stages/types of werewolves but i think anyone can distinguish a wolf from a were-creature. its not that hard, actually. nice picture too.

RamTheDragon Says:

Actually As much as I agree with the mood thing and the cursed human against a humanoid wolf, I have to say stereotypes can be broken sometimes for the sake of artistic liberty. Then again, having the whole human side takes away all the furry side it is true

elitethegentle Says:

so true

Yoli the Wonderer Says:

I think all you really need to say to keep the argument clean is note the methods. Werewolves are humans that gain through a curse the ability to transform into an anthropomorphic wolf. Thus, they are anthro then, but they're still human overall. Anthropomorphic wolves are those born that way. Wolves with human traits. Something like that. =|
