I thought taking photos of ferrets was hard. Butterflies are worse! One flick and they practically vanish from the view finder. LOL This little one was toying with me, coming in REAL close and settling just long enough for the camera to adjust and then flitting off. Cheeky devil! I didn't get a good shot of its beautiful patterns on the tops of the wings. But the undersides are pretty interesting, too. So I'm uploading the two best images I got while chasing the pretty around the yard with the camera. :-D That's Cuban jute flowers the butterfly is sampling. Apparently they're quite popular dining spots as I've seen a lot of butterflies out there when the weather is clear.
