Soldier

First off let me say that I haven't posted on sheezy for a while! now onto my art description!

I did a bit of experimenting with this peice, in terms of color texture and execution. I have things I like and don't like about this picture, I like how I managed to get so detailed in some areas, and I took a risk and left some other areas a little less defined, and I'm not sure whether I like or dislike that. I also wanted to paint something abstract for the background, but I'm not sure how well it was done or rather if it completes the picture as a whole... I don't know the whole thing was like one risk after another, but in the end I like it, and I learned a few tricks from painting this, tricks which I will further develop to make my future paintings look great!
