Cardcaptor Zidane

"Once upon a time there was a young boy who loved women. He'd chase them to the end of the world without a second thought, swaying his long, monkey tail in delight. But one day he chosed the wrong girl and with one strike he fell to darkness. Cursed he became for when he awoke he discovered with a fright to find he wore bright pink and his tail painted in ashed-colored black. Planted on his head were two fabric cat ears who had the same color black as the tail.
"What the hell is this!?" he shreiked, patheticly attempting to hide this gaudish cat dress. A little lion floated, swirled around the boy in thought it was a dear friend. With his eye raised in curiousness he simply remarked "You're... not Sakura-chan" ".

HOLY... MOTHER... OF... THE ... GREAT... GODS! YOU... DO... NOT... KNOW... HOW... LONG... THIS... TOOK... ME! Seriously, this was a pisser to color! It's weird because I color two or three areas and a half-hour passes by. But nonetheless, this was a joy to do.
This small piece was done for the ff9-club; the subject was to draw a character(s) from FF9 and cross over with another character or series. I had a lot of previous ideas I wanted to have done before this. I attempted Fullmetal Alchemist, Naruto, Tenchi, and many others.

But none of them seemed to have worked for me so when I was thinking to myself of what to do, I gazed upon my small Cardcaptor Sakura section of my manga. That's when it hit me; I'll crossover FF9 and Cardcaptor Sakura! Right on the spot I was going to do Zidane in Sakura's cat outfit. However, I intentionally wanted to add Vivi in a Kero costume but I didn't had room for him. So I just stuck with Zidane with a complete shock on his face with Kero looking at him either a little disturbed or confused.

I actually drew a previous picture before this, but it was just with Zidane alone (same position). The eyes and anatomy looked very strange to me so I redrew the picture on another piece of paper. At first, there were pupils in the eyes, but after I was coloring this picture I took them out. But just coloring this picture was another story; holy gods and goddesses! It took me FOREVER to get the right color and trying to keep it nice and neat (I failed at that, I am afraid). I could had done a much better job, but I was rushing for time as usual finishing up the picture before the day of the deadline.

But in all do respect, I like how this came out. Zidane's facial expression came out great as well as Kero's and the coloring is fairly decent, in my opinion. I'll do a better job when I am not under pressure. (Ha, ha...). Enjoy.
