Chap11- Aeros Dismay

-Current day Friday-

I woke up, and then yawned, that was one of the best sleep I had in days…. I didn’t wake up ounce and something drowned out the now faint sound of construction…. Man verity has very fluffy and warm pillows… I’m sort of jealous…. I looked over at her bed, and she wasn’t on it how weird…

“Well she did say she was an early riser…” I said to myself then I heard a content sighing and the pillow I was hug- wait a minute…

“Verity….?” Upon realization, my face grew as hot as fire would be, my 6 tails and ears stood out strain and my eyes widened, and I was hugging onto verity… the most comely Pokémon in port town…

She sighed and stirred again putting her “arms” around me along with her tail, then positioning her head under my and into my neck fur, I blushed, I felt like a furnace (well, technically, I am but I don’t normally feel like one) this… was awkward, my teams probably looking for me so I had to somehow slip out…

So I looked around, then I started to take a few things into note; her incenses where unlighted possibly they have something in them that energizes her, also, my hat was on the arm of the couch, right in the path of the window so I could make a quick way out with it…

Either I could do some idiotic relying on chance plan, or just shake her shoulder and face the situation….hmmm…. I’ll go with facing the music; I know what Roy is when he’s mad… I don’t want to know what his daughter is like…

So I tried shaking her shoulder

“Hey, verity… it’s time to wake up…” I said softly

“mmmm…” she sighed “fiver more minutes dad…” she said burying her face into me as if I was a pillow
“Verity you might want to wake up…” I said shaking her shoulder again; it’s around time for missions to start up…

In short… she woke up…. And well…. It was very very very… awkward….


“uuuh….” She said looking away…

I looked away as well “Uhmmmm…”

It stayed silent for… what seemed like hours…

“I’d… better go… missions…” I said

“Yea….”

So I grabbed my hat and went out through the window, and headed to storm base as fast as I could… man I hope no one but the two of us saw what happened back there…

Anyway, I got back to team storm base, the construction nearby was still going on, I could hear it, and outside the door, Emmy was waiting with an angry look, and I felt my heart sank… busted…

“WHERE WERE YOU!?” Emmy yelled at me, yup, she just woke up….

“I-” I began

She hugged mean looked up at me with big sad eyes “I-I was worried big brother… that you left team storm…”

Oh I hated seeing her sad… so me being her big brother I hugged her back, for reassurance

“please, like I’d leave the cutest little sister ever.” I said with a smile, we broke the hug

“So how’s Aery?” I asked, and speak of the devil; he came out with a scarf on

“I’m fine, come on, we have missions…” he said

Emmy and I looked at him confused

“But Aero… we never went to the café to redeem some…” Emmy said

He cringed “well… darn….”

“Does Nancy even open the café this early in the morning?” I asked

Aero nodded “of course, she loves being around Pokémon, and it stays open till 9:00PM that’s it.”

“hey you weren’t going to LEAVE me here where you?!” I heard a voice inside the base say

“Oh yea… forgot to mention… we have a new member” he said, “A Sneasal named Diseree…”

“Dise-what?” I asked, Emmy whispered in my ear a brief description on what a sneasal looked like, then she walked out, I noticed her eyes where different colors then she mentioned, one was yellow…

“Huh…?” I asked

She waved her claw “don’t worry, Aero warned me, come on lets go.” She said, as if she was aching to do something….

So we went to the café, and was greeted warmly as we went up to the bar stools, took our seats, and aero put his arm on the counter

“hey Nance” Aero said

And Nancy with her usual subtle perkiness “heya sug’, sleepin well?” she asked him cleaning out a glass with a clothe

“not sleeping to well Nance, say we got a new member; Diseree” he said pointing a claw at Diseree

Nancy smiled walked over and looked at her “why a sneasal, don’t see those very often now do we, just like suga’ fox ova there” she said referring to me, I admit, it’s embarrassing, but I love that nickname… it made me smile uncontrollably… I guess… it made me feel more like part of a family…

“So Nance” he said putting some poke on the table. ”Will this cover for a 4 breakfast and some missions, and could you throw in the anti insomnia, there’s some construction going on around our base…” he asked

Nancy took the money “sure It’ll covah a good healtha breakfast fer four sug, but ya don’t need ta pay fer dem missions, I tell ya where dey are fer free…” Nancy began, she turned around, and began to make her pecha juice and then set it out, and then she took out four packages, put one next to each glass along with an apple
“Now sugs, that stuff in those packages will add an extra bit of kick to yah pecha juice, my own special separate energy add on powdah, use only if ya need it sugs.” She said then walked off allowing us to finish our breakfast

Hmm… this might be quite useful later, if we have to do a long dungeon so I’ll save it for later, so I took off my hat, put the package in it, then put it back on, then started on my breakfast, just as good as ever. After a good breakfast Nancy came in with a letter still in its Envelope

“Sugs I got ya a special mission TO-DAY!” she said with a smile

“Alright! Yahaa!” diseree said loudly and confidently

Aero seemed indifferent but I saw a small smirk

“Yay!” Emmy said looking innocent as always

She laid it down on the table; there was a light pink imprint of a rescue team badge on it

“Allow me” Aero said, taking out his badge, which scanned across the ink pattern, and then he set it down on the counter, it brought up a holoscreen summary of the mission… this just keeps getting cooler… and cooler…

“you see, so regular Pokémon don’t try and play hero and just run into a dungeon and save Pokémon just to look like a hero, the mission papers are actually blank, and rewritten digitally as the rescue team insignia, only scannable bye badge” Aero explained to me, now that was just pure awesome

So we read through it

Emmys eyes widened… “No way…”

Desiree smirked “I don’t know where or what it is, but it sounds fun…”

Why am I always the one without something to say if something good or bad comes up?

“Uh… can someone explain?” I asked

Emmy turned to me “dude! Treasure cove is like, the rarest dungeon to get a mission into! All the missions always get taken before anyone else can there that important, as the name implies it’s said that there are some of the grandest of treasures are there, and that the only way to find it is if you’re a water type, or if someone gets trapped in there.”

“Ooooh…” I said “I can’t wait to go!” I said, hyped up

Diseree patted my back “not the only one man”

“Hold up!” Aero said “it’s a 2 member dungeon only” he smiled “so you aint goin foxy, it’s bound to be a water dungeon sooo…. You and Emmy have to stay here”

Well that stinks… I was looking so forward to it… and Aero began laughing at me

“Hold on sug, karma has it in fer ya, because sending sugar fox may be essential” Nancy said

“What is it Nancy?” aero asked

“Because…” she began

Emmy tilted her head “what’s wrong Nancy” she asked

“Please don’t tell me it’s a….” Aero began

“A dungeon full of grass types”
