1. Chapter one

This wasn't how I thought I'd be spending my evenings, hiding away in my dark bedroom listening to classical music loudly, watching as she ran around with him connected to her waist. I've pulled apart too much to just sit back and watch as the little slag goes and steals the life which I've carved myself for me. I need to act fast, but, he's been blinded by her spell, her looks, her charm, her air. It makes me feel sick. There is nothing I want to watch more than her in the most upmost pain that a human can physically bare. I want to watch her cry, and try hard to breath because the crying's become so intense. I want the little bitch to burn, to melt, to explode. I want to kill her!!
I can't believe I ever called her my best friend, she stole everything from me, my man, my friends, everyone who I treasured with everything I got. The cow doesn't deserve the glory in which she is praised for. Everything she's ever done, that was all with my help. I was the only one for her to cry to, if she ever needed a shoulder to cry on, who was there? Me! Who was there when she felt so alone, when her world had caved in due to darkness? Me! Who gave her own flesh and blood for her friend?! Me!
All I've done for her is give and give and give, and how does the little bitch repay me? Takes the one person who made me feel like there was any reason for me to be living in the world, my man, mine.......
I have often wondered if there was any point of death, if anyone cared. Still question it. Even today after such a long time.
Its not the fact that I hate her, its just that I trusted her enough with all my deepest secrets, wished for so much and gave everything for.

I hate you Kerry, and don't you forget it.
Love Shannen x

This message was stuck on her locker the first day of college. Kerry tilted her head to the left as she continued to read.

P.S. Dale does really care for you, all he'll want you for is sex, like he did with me. x x

She choked and tore off the letter. This was disgusting! Her one best friend had given her the only reason to be in such a foul mood. Slamming the locker door shut, Kerry turned to come face to face with two guys who were in her year. Jamie and Nathan stopped dead in their tracks as they noticed the tears streaming down her face. "Kerry? Are you alright?" Jamie's eyes were half shut as he peered at Kerry through his glasses.
Nathan stepped to the left as a first year tried to show his way past the tall youth because he was already late for his lesson. "Kerry?" Jamie repeated himself,
Kerry's bottom lip quivered as she ran into his arms, engulfing her friend like she hadn't seen him for a long time. Burying her head into his shoulder, Jamie stepped back a few yards because of the impact she had on him from running so quickly into a few inches.
The letter was still crumpled in her hands.
Nathan took the letter from her and scanned it quickly.
"Jamie," he ushered his friend, "read this,"
Jamie turned to Nathan and began to read the letter, Kerry was shaking as she sobbed into his shoulder.
"That's just plain rude," Jamie said in a neutral tone, "wouldn't Shannen say it to Kerry face to face like the arrogant bitch she is?"
Kerry was shaking her head as she took a breath.
"No, she wants for me to remember this, and Dale wouldn't so that to me! He wouldn't use me!" she shouted, "would he?"
As she glanced up at Jamie, Nathan shook his head and hugged Kerry from behind.
"Its alright Kerry, she's not worth the tears, honestly!" Jamie said.
"Please stop crying Kerry," Nathan said softly in her ear, "you don't need to be upset," he gave her one more squeeze and let her continue to slump against Jamie.
Kerry wiped away the tears from her eyes and coughed, she knew these two made her feel like she was worth something, and she admired the way that they always knew how to make her smile.
Jamie held her chin and wiped away her tears, with a concerned look in his eye.
"Will you be alright?" he asked, his tone still as nuetral as it normally was.
Kerry nodded, then smiled in her crazy. This was something that made Nathan and Jamie laugh quite a lot, because it seems that no matter how much their random friend Kerry was upset, and something was wrong, she's try hard to show people that nothing was putting her down.
"That's more like it," Nathan said in a more cheerful tone, "now then, where is the little slag?"
Kerry's eyes menaced towards the Common Room, there was the home of all of your little groups and the odd person who wanted to start and pick a fight.
"Kerry!" Jamie said, still holding her tight.
"Jamie, let me go please, I don't want to hurt you,"
"Nathan,"
Nathan stood instinctively infront of Kerry, his eyes were blazing with nothing more bu sheer care for her.
Kerry shook of Jamie's grip and jumped through Nathan's long arms. "Kerry come on, don't make an idiot of yourself!" Jamie shouted from the end of the corridor.
"Jamie!" Kerry shouted, a little whimper came from her voice, "I can't let her get away with this!"
"I know, but come on, think logically," he said running towards her, Nathan panting as she seemed to of speeded off. "Wouldn't it make more sense to get her after school? Because if you go for her now, there's a strong possibility that you'll be kicked out, and thats the last thing that you need after the week you've had," he said, adjusting his glasses.
The alert teen female seemed to be panting too, but due to the amount of long words he had chosen to confuse her with.
"In English please?"
"Basically," Nathan started, "what Jamie's saying is that if you beat the shit out of her now, you'll get kicked out now and screw up your future, get her after school," he added at the end.
Jamie just slapped his head,
"I was trying to stop her from hitting Shannen all together," Jamie muttered in a loud whisper.
She relaxed a bit more, Jamie again opened his arms wide. Kerry as normal walked towards them and held her friend so tight he couldn't breathe. Nathan didn't so much as latch on, but he stroked her hair that was flying around loosely from the once thick plait it was.
