Ahhh these two
for minor characters, they certainly did take a lot of trouble to make!
Anyhow, these two are Kaiser (Changed it because Kaiser sounds way cooler than Emperor, even though it's still an empire) Abalhart's guards, yes!
Most of the time, since the outside guards are usually able to take care of assassination attempts, these two, standing outside of Abalhart's room don't really see much action.
So, being the nice guy that he is, Abalhart tests them at least once a week, mostly by attacking them out of nowhere. They almost never beat him, but in the five years of service, they've only beaten him 13 times each.
Naturally, they've been keeping score. They're best friends, but they're incredibly competitive about this sort of thing. Whichever one of them gets the least by the end of the year has to buy drinks for the other. Right now they're at a tie!
Oh yeah and since the Kaiser's doppelganger came in and took over, they got kicked out in favor of two Jagernought guards. So they don't have anything to do, and they're taking odd jobs to make ends meet.
I'd explain more, but right now I'm tl;dr as it is.
SCREW IT YOU WATCH ME YOU TOOK THE RISK
Nobody really knows where Iva's from. All they know is her skill and precision, so they brought her in as a sort of counter assassin. She's usually sent to sneak about and scour the place for any sharpshooters or explosives. She's a lot friendlier than she looks. But she always likes to keep an air of mystery about her. She says it makes her much more popular with the men, even though after a while, they get turned off after realizing she could destroy them for little reason, and that she can get away with it because she has authority. Usually this ends up with her buying a lot of drinks, and calling over Olric to come and pick her up.
Olric is a different matter. He was born into a poor family, and became a soldier to help pay for some expenses. After a while, he climbed the ranks, until he became captain. He was also offered the job of Juggernaut, but he refused since he didn't want to be sent off to far lands for long periods of time. He still has to take care of his family, you know. So thankfully, he didn't take it, or else he might have been converted into a Jagernought, and become a mindless machine of destruction. He met Iva on the job, and they'd hit it off as friends ever since.
If you have any questions (Which I hope you do :c) don't hesitate to ask!
Enjoy the picture, yes?

Kodfish Says:
This plot of yours is still mighty cool, it's developing all the time on all sorts of levels.
I really like Iva's feet in this here picture.
Questions? Hmm, I suppose.
-Since the outside guards take care of the outside, and these two take care of the inside, does that mean that der Kaiser lives in some sort of palace? I suppose he would, but it never really occured to me before.
-Is that some sort of sword or weapon of some sort Olric's holding?
-Romantic tension?
Spilled Salt Says:
Olric's club does look more effective than a sword.
Is that a flame on her hat? "come and pick her up" That must be awkward.
Shanoshi Says:
Sup bro, Cool story.
Seriously it so far, Olric seems like a pretty Boss guy, what with the family and what not~ (It's good to see a family helping character ya know) and Iva seems pretty cool as well but the no background thing is kind of cliche but hey everyone one does it for some reason so it's cool. :U
But these two as duo seems pretty badass and they have a reasonably firm and respectful relationship as well. I could actually see them getting along after a while and becoming good palls over time. So in other words their meeting and bonding seem very natural and un-forced.
So now a Question! Any reason why we can't see Iva's eyes?
Oh yeah, the art? Awesome. JUST AWESOME.
