Ivysaur Attempt!

So... I've been drawing a lot of redundent stuff lately... but while I've been wanting to write or do homework... I decided to draw something I haven't drawn before.

I really want to finish Pokémon (up to the end of Johto), continue my story and maybe do those short little one-shot Pokéfics I wanted to do... (One shot per Pokémon.)

Anyway... after some thought on what to draw, I decided Ivysaur was a viable choice. Not just any Ivysaur... but Red's Ivysaur. (Not manga or game Red. My character Red. Although... he is his counterpart's alter-alter-ego... so whatever.)

Red Prowess is from New Bark Town. He started his journey six years prior to my story in Kanto, since it would be a few years yet before the Johto League would take place again. Since he was familiar with Professor Elm, he was able to go to Pallet Town and get his first Pokémon there. (Bulbasaur, of course!) After Team Rocket's rise and the violent take overs of Mt. Moon, Lavender Town, Celadon City and Saffron City (notably Silph Co.), he managed to evolve it.

Excited to have his new Ivysaur (among his current party of already well-trained Pokémon; Phantom - his Pikachu, Ivy - his Ivysaur, Poli - his Poliwhirl, Slash - his Sandslash, Rino - his Nidorino and Dug - his Diglet), he returned to Lavender Town to meet with his friend/traveling companion (Maria) and his little brother (Rick).

Upon his return, he found out that Rick was killed in Team Rocket's Cubone skull-harvesting project. He tried not to lose his mind and Maria tried her best to keep Red from becoming too depressed. Finally, two years and a half years later (after completing the Johto League), Red (now thirteen) joined Team Rocket for their rise on Goldenrod City and their mind-control projects. However, his intent wasn't to serve Team Rocket but to get revenge and kill Giovanni.

After his first attempt, his Pokémon were taken from him and turned against him. He was told that they wouldn't kill him... yet. But that they'd return for him later. In the meantime, he'd better run. Or else.

Red was broken by the loss of his Pokémon and attempted to get them back, only managing to save Phantom barely with the breaking of his Pokéball. After that, he was chased off and badly injured by Domino's tulip. However, he managed to get back to New Bark Town. After being dismissed by his mother (for his Team Rocket misdeeds), he crossed over to Kanto, giving Phantom to Professor Oak, begging him to protect it... and to give it to someone who wouldn't be as stupid as he was.

Unbeknownst to Red, Professor Oak had an encounter with a brave young trainer who he knew fought to protect Pokémon. And after Delia's demands to give Ash a Pokémon he couldn't control (to discourage his journey away from home), Professor Oak had the perfect Pokémon for him. The only problem was trying to keep 'Phantom' inside the Pokéball until then.
