So I was having a conversation with about Sonic Rush (actually it was a conversation about obsessive sampling, in which we brought up Rush), and it really brought back memories. It was the first DS game I ever owned, second one I beat 100%, and the first time I really enjoyed a Sonic game, oh, since the dawn of the new millenium (and I know I'm not alone in that sentiment).

Normally, of course, I would have completely forgotten about this, as I really have a ton of homework and studying. (Thank you, college!) But somehow fate compelled me to put on Fatboy Slim's You've Come a Long Way Baby (one of the best records of all time IMHO) and as Track 7, Soul Surfing came on, I realized how amazingly perfect the song would be for a Sonic game. So I completely re-cut it, changed up some of the drums, and overall made it more Sonic-y. In hindsight, I also should have made it a bit faster. (I also used a sample of 1901 by Phoenix, but you probably won't catch it. It's not that obvious.) Submitted in Scraps since it really only took about an hour.

[TL;DR I made a Fatboy Slim remix because I have no life. Enjoy!]

Wow, that is perfect (albeit would be better faster) for a Sonic game, particularly one of that particular artist's style. I'm forgetting his name, but I remember that he also worked on the Jet Set Radio games, so that's pretty cool.

So, first thing I listen to by you: Konata and Marisa Stole the Precious thing. Beautiful.
The second thing I listen to: FATBOY SLIM.
You know how to make me happy, sir.
