This was my first project in my Design 1 class at university.
The objective was to choose a cartoon character from the 40's, 50's, or 60's and crop and enlarge it in four different poses on lextramax to utilize basic design principles including line, shape, unity, positive-negative space, and high contrast. I chose Woody Woodpecker because, honestly, he was my favorite classic cartoon character. I mean, how 'bout that laugh folks?
What you see here is white paper cut into shapes and then pasted on with rubber cement onto a black lextramax board.
I recieved 18 points out of a possible twenty - all points lost were due to pieces cut poorly and visible glue.
