Sometimes the ballpoint pen is a kind mistress; sometimes she is a very cruel mistress indeed.
Other times my hands are just too sweaty and I smudge the damn ink.
Added for submission to the Critique Club;
I know there are things wrong with this picture, but most of them I can't quite put my finger on. I feel like I didn't make his chest deep enough, and his hand seems a bit stiff. The back foot looks too soft and round, and I don't like his face at all - I smudged the ink there and tried to hide it with hair, and it didn't work very well.
Any advice would be lovely.
