YAY for ink!
A friend of mine asked me if I could do a comission for his father. he wanted to have a portrait of a caracal. But with a more natural approach. First of all I thought I should do a paintover in Painter IX.5. But after almost an hour painting I almost bit into my tablet and turned the whole thing off. I haven't drawn anything natural in ages and the same holds true for a paintover. Being extremely frustrated I grapped my normal sketchbook and abused it with my indian ink. After almost one and a half pages I came up with this cat face. I somehow liked it and added some colors with my old watercolors I have never ever used. maybe did a dragon and a guine pig once but that was it. Okay my sketchbook almost died because it's still not made for watery colors. And I didn't even have a watercolor brush. I had to get along with an acrylic one...

As a friend of mine, namely Kiwi of Doom, pointed out: I'm such a hero. ( meaning ironically )
Anyways, I had so much fun painting this, I couldn't tell. Completely different feeling than doing the fine linework I usually do. By the way it's directly sketched with ink. No pencil anywhere.
Now I have some suited paper, brushes and some shimmering violett drawing ink. I want to draw a dragon!!!
But first I have to do the comissions. And trades.
BUT I WILL DRAW A PURPLE DRAGON! *muhahaha*
Enjoy! =D ( If you can

)
