I was in class the other night, creating new patterns in Photoshop.
I realized it would be a good opportunity to come up with some new types of shades, so I made the ones you see on him.
I wanted to test a small theory that even the most craptacular lines can look fairly decent if you slap on an eye-catching color scheme.
I think it's safe enough to say it's maybe 85% true. lol.
This didn't take me very long to do at all, but I haven't used this many layers in a long time. I figure if I'm gonna make any comics, this is how I'll be doing it... but with cleaner lines, of course xD
Honestly, I don't know why I keep using Sonic as my subject in class... it might be because he's so easy to draw for me, compared to anything else.

That the leg up front looks weird, it feels like it should go straight down and sync with the foot and not bend like that. As if it's grabbing for some invisible space or something.
Othe than that this is genius, love the coloring and the dynamic pose. Sonic works really great in your style
