Well I decided to draw my very old Megaman fan character Neo X jumping over a wall escaping an explosion and all the destruction
I know the explosion looks pretty odd (but I find them extremely hard to draw..) but I am quite pleased how it turned out.. The white things are ash or something like that..

Explosive work! Though Maybe you should of left out the white paint smears. I think it would look better without it.

Fistly great design! I love how your character looks and the action pose is perfect for the theme. The explosion looks extremely well made and coloured.
The white marks look like falling ash indeed and the dark colours of grey and black add emphasis to the explosion as the colours stand out.
The lettering is really nicely done too, and it's effective since it is partially hidden :)
