Hiroto's Dead

Beep Beep, went the microwave, I quickly scurried over to it and collected my pot noodles and walked over the sofa and slumped down and turned on the CD player. I clipped open the chopsticks and scoffed down the noodles. When I finished I placed the empty pot on the coffee table and looked at my watch.
‘He should have been home about half an hour ago,’ I thought to myself, I absentmindedly looked at my watch, ‘Pon where are you,’ I thought to myself. I stood up and picked up the empty pot from the table and threw it in the bin,
“I know, I can make the dinner table set for him, he would like that,” I said to myself and ran over to the dining table and moved away the books and other junk that was on it, and put on a table cloth. I quickly went to the dishwasher and collected cutlery and took the vase of flowers from my working desk in my study and put them on the table. I got some golden candle sticks and put an extra pair of knives and forks on the table so I could some more noodles with him, I was still hungry. I grabbed a lighter to light the candle and turned down the music. Then the phone rang.
“Moshi Moshi!” I said cheerily. There was no answerer, “Hello? Is there anyone there?” I asked,
“Is this Dawn?” I heard a familiar voice,
“Oh! Shou is that you?” I asked, there was muffling in the background.
“Yes, I am calling from the hospital,” he said clearly and quietly,
“And why would you be calling from the hospital?” I asked him the was a silence,
“Hiroto,” there was a pause, “he was in an accident!” he, managed to say,
“He was WHAT?! Please can you repeat that? I thought you just said he was in an accident, oh and if he IS there can you tell him dinner is ready,” I said as I moved to the microwave to get the noodles,
“Dawn... Hiroto isn’t going to be meeting you for dinner.” Shou said,
“Well, tell him if isn’t coming, I did this beautiful dinner for nothing, “I said a bit annoyed.
“Dawn, Hiroto’s dead.” He confessed. The beeper went on the microwave. I was silent. Until I realized what had happened.

Hiroto was dead.
