Confrontation

What I Am Not

i am not moon
i am not sun
i am not cloud
i am not sky
i am not day
i am not night
you can read me
far too easily
you can see my moods
forever changing
and sense them early

no, i am tempest
i am thunder and hail
i am lightning and wind
i am heaven's fury
unleashed
uncensored
and you are grateful
when i leave
because your sun shines
then
and all is right
and all is good
and all is forgotten.

Twenty Three

in twenty three years
half my life will have gone by
you'll have been absent for twenty four years
will you still remember me?
will you remember the school show
when i jumped into your arms
and mourned the departure of the seniors?
will you remember the camps and confessions?
our late night discussions about immortality?
will you remember me at all?
what is my name?
(will i forget you?)


Sycophant

It's like someone's tearing my chest open.
It's not painful, but I don't like it.
I'd like to know what I did to deserve this.
Am I really guilty of all charges?
Am I reall ygoing to be killed in The Chair?
I'd like to know what my sins are,
So that I could, maybe, try to repent.


Physiquement Fléchissant

Quand les têtes se tournent--
Je te le jure, c'est physique!--
Je ne peux m'en empêcher,
Je recule, et je fléchis.

Last poetry--prose?--dump this week, I swear. It's just that I wrote so many things, and I really want to get them all up here as soon as I can. (Easier to send links to friends and family and such that having to copy past everything every single time.)

I think the quantity's reduced compared to the last load, but the length is generally longer. so bear with me. :)



PS- The last poem should be translated somewhat like the following:

When heads turn--
I swear, it's physical!--
I can't help it,
I step back, I waver.

but it's just so sad.

You come into their life and then they're gone and you're happy.

That's a sad emotion to feel.

Just highly unhappy.
