Small beginnings

Beep beep beep bzzzzzz!!!..

...”Torrrchiiic...”

Two lumps emerged from the heavy quilt. A mass of brown fuzzy hair crawled from the mass of cotton.
“..what time is it?..”
“Time for you to get up young lady.” A figure leaned above the mass that started to clear its eyes.
“Mam!! Don’t scare me like that. Bloody ‘ell!” the mass jumped out of bed, like a mouse who’s tails just been caught in a trap.
“Well sooorrrryyy lazy arse. Now you and Blazen best get up or you’ll miss your adventure!” The sarcastic tone from the mother quickly sparked a remembrance of importance to the newbie trainer.
“Ah. Right.” The mass crawled out of the messed up bed slowly, as her feet touched the rouge carpet, a thump came from the little redish orange chick as he fell out of the mass in confusion of where the end of the mattress was.
“Oh Blazen! Are you alright?” The trainer picked up the little chick as it shook its head to shake off the impact from the short fall.
“Torchic!” The chick smiled, letting the trainer he is fine.
“Are you two going to leave or do I have to kick you out there?” The mother exclaimed.
“Ok mam! We’re going, we’re going!” Both trainer and Pokemon rushed to get dressed and ready for the long journey ahead of them.

After 5 maybe 10 minutes, the trainer and newly acquired pokemon were all ready to leave when the mother stopped them.
“...I’m going to miss you Cath, you know that?”
“...Yeah.”
“It was so lovely of Professor Birch to give you Blazen, he’s such a nice Torchic. Don’t neglect him or else you’ll know about!” The mother laughed as she said farewell to her only child.
“Heh, it’ll be alright mam. I’ll call home when I can ok?” The trainer hugged her mother as she left through the door.

“Ok Cath..good luck and have fun!” The mother waved farewell to her daughter till the next time the trainer peeks her head through the door.

“Route 101..cool” The trainer was amazed at the vast greenery of the route, it was fiddled with wild pokemon.
“Lets see what pokemon are in here, shall we Blazen?”
“Torchic!” Both Pokemon and trainer were excited at the prospect of catching more pokemon for their team.

The pair headed to track through the luscious, tall green grass, when all of a sudden they were both confronted by a small female poochyena.
The small wolf-like creature growled at Blazen with such intensity it shook the little chick.

“Come on Blazen! We have to weaken her so we can capture her!” Cath cheered on her scared little Torchic, it’s once shivering in fear expression melded into a look of determination.
“Ok Blazen! Use ember!” The trainer’s tone of voice through her commands waved through the Torchic’s mind as it unleashed a flurry of flames that damaged and burnt the little Poochyena.
“I think that enough..look out Blazen! Dodge!” Blazen swerved out of the way of the Poochyena’s attempt to bite the little chick,
“Ok good job Blazen! Now let’s try a pokeball” Blazen backed off as the trainer threw the capsule device at the little wolf. Poochyena howled as it turned into a ray of light as it was absorbed into the pokeball, the ball landed onto the floor, its middle button flashing red as it shook.
“Come on....come on” the trainer clutched her fists as she hopes the first pokeball was enough to make her first capture.

Ping

“Yes! We’ve got her Blazen!!” The trainer and her Torchic jumped into the air with such glee as their first wild Pokemon encounter turned into a new friend joining the party.

“Now then...what should I name you? Hmmm” The trainer pondered this for a good few moments.
“Tor...Torchic?” Blazen nudged at Cath thinking something was wrong for his trainer to be so silent.
“I got it!” Cath scarred the Torchic with her sudden response to his nudge, so much he fell onto the grass.
“Oh! I’m sorry I scarred you Blazen” Cath helped Blazen up then kneeled down beside him.

“Come on out little one” Cath pressed the button on the Pokeball, the same light appear and formed the shape of the newly caught Poochyena.
“Graawrrrr?” The Poochyena’s head tilted at its new trainer, as the trainer’s eyelids lowered and a smile appeared across her face.

“Your name is...Polly Anna, do you like it?” The trainer smiled at the newly named Poochyena.
“Rawr!” The Poochyena jumped and started to slobber her new trainer as if to tell her she loved her new name.
“Ok! Ok! I get it! You like it! Haha! Stop that Polly Anna!” Cath laughed as she struggled to claw Polly Anna off her as she was being covered with more and more slobber each passing lick.

A few minutes later when everyone had calmed down, they started to make their way to Oldale Town.
“We’ll rest here and then carry on tomorrow, is that ok with you two?”
“Rawrgh!” “Torchic!” Both pokemon agreed as all three of the party’s legs/paws were starting to tire out.

They walked off watching the swablu and wingulls fly through the sunset sky.
