One Class to Another -- Chapter 8

"AWWWRIIIIGHT!"
Came a scream from the fellow black afro man as he ran in the BLU base. He raised his broken bottle of XXX beer up into the air, aimlessly running about. Overhearing the commotion, Engineer walked out from the respawn room. He had been patching himself up, since the dispenser only took away the pain for a little while. Pyro came out behind him, because she was helping him as well as fixing herself up. "Wonder who that is.." Engineer muttered, as Pyro followed behind. "Pr'lly d'mmo.." Pyro whispered back, with her mask over her head once more. "....Demo? Huh?" He looked back at the fire girl, with a puzzled look. "...D'mmom'nn, y'kn'ww, th' g'iyy wit' th' uh'frr?" How could he forget the afro man? That 'fro was huge! Unfortunately for him, he'd be meeting the guy face to face in mere moments...
Shouts were heard from the entrance to the BLU base. The rest of the BLU team was rushing in, as fast as they could. They were wooing, and cheering, and laughing, all excited from their win. Engineer could distinctly hear them, as he looked back at Py once more. "So... that afro man.. demoman, was i--" He was cut short as he bumped into something -- or someone -- whilst not paying attention. He fell on the floor with a thud. " 'eyy! Watch where ya goin'!" A slurred, swaying voice spoke from above. Slowly, Engie looked up from his position. That same black man with the huge afro stood before him, shifting back and forth, swaying to and fro. "...Ya laddies know we.." He hiccuped, but continued. "...won da battle against them REDs..?" He took a sip from his broken bottle; the man was too drunk to care. Engineer only watched from the floor as the drunken man did a little jig and danced about, happily. Pyro shook her head, and tugged the builder up. "...H'ss dr'nnk l'kk nuu 'thhr.." She explained. Engineer was still learning the ropes to her muffled speech, but he listened to her anyway. The demoman stopped dancing around as Heavy came in, carrying Medic in his arms, swaying said arms from side to side, as if the healer was a little child. She was laughing and giggling the entire time. In followed other people, such as bucket-head girl Soldier, thick-headed Scout, and the ever-mysterious Spy. "Hey, guys..." Engineer said, although a bit silently, nervously waving his hand. Pyro did the same. One by one, the BLUs waved back. Everyone looked like they were accounted for, all except Sniper, Engineer thought. He then felt his hand get occupied by a glove, as Pyro had grabbed it, and began to drag him toward the Respawn. "Ev'rr'nn! Th'ss w'yy!" She shouted, motioning the other BLUs to follow behind. Curiously, they followed.
She dragged Engineer along, into the hallway of rooms. "I f'nnd s'mmth'nn' y'uu g'iyys m'ghht l'kk!" She then pointed to a lone door at the end of the hallway. People began to talk amongst themselves as Pyro led Engineer and the BLUs along. "A kitchen?" "A kick-@$$ room?" "No no, it zhould be a--" "I BELIEVE IT COULD BE FOOD ROOM!" The talking became a heated argument over what Pyro wanted to show them. Engie silently whispered to Pyro. "...What is it..?" She answered back with a small answer. "Y'uu'll seei 'nn uh m'mm'nnt."

The door swung open. Inside was a pleasant surprise; there was a big metal table with exactly nine chairs spread evenly around it. The table was neatly placed, though writing could be seen everywhere on it. Pyro let go of Engineer and ran in. As the mechanic walked in, he noticed the room extended more, length-wise. There was a sink, an oven, and a microwave on one side, and cupboards, a refrigerator, and more cupboards. Engie whistled. "Woah... check this out, guys." He didn't have to say anything though, as BLUs had already flooded in. Everyone was inspecting everything, everyone except Demoman. He was inspecting his broken bottle, wondering why it didn't supply him with any more booze. Everyone seemed to be intrigued with something, with people ooo-ing, and awww-ing. Honestly, Pyro couldn't see why the dining room was so interesting, but she shrugged, and walked back to Engineer. "S'hh, h'rr's 'rr f'udd r'umm." She smiled, and took Engie's hand again, but this time just held it. Suddenly, a Demoman approached! The two found themselves looking at the Scottish cyclops as he grinned. "'ey, laddies.. do either of ya wanna celebrate our win? 'Cause I just.. thought up o' an idea."
Everyone was sitting at the table, with the exception of Sniper, whom hadn't been there as of yet. They were chatting about their successful kills and epic wins during the battle. "And then, I rocket-jumped onto the building. They weren't expecting me -anywhere-." Soldier was telling her story, feeling mightily proud. "Especially since I'm new here. And then... I shoveled that Spy to death!" Some of the team oo'd. Spy lazily waved his hand. "Whatever... Soldiers mindlessly blow ztuff up all ze time." This riled up Soldier. "Yeah, and Spies are sissy little maggots, ready to get smacked out of no where and burned to death by a Pyro!" Spy kept his calm voice. "Hmph.. you're too simple-minded to understand the complexity of a Spy." He took the cigarette from his mouth and flicked it at Soldier. "OOOOH THAT'S IT!" She reached over the table to grab Spy, but Heavy's large arms pushed her back. "CALM DOWN SOLDIER, SPY IS JUST BEING JERK." And Heavy gave a sad face at Spy, as he readjusted his tie. Then, up came the black, scottish cyclops, holding some bottles of beer. "ALLLLRIGHT LADDIES! We're gonna party hard t'night, fer our FIRST WIN~!" He seemed excited, as he placed down the bottles of wine, beer, and other beverages. Engineer looked over at everyone, with the bottles of beer, and then to his own bottle. He didn't feel like he should drink, so he just sat. Pyro was on the other side of the table, so he didn't have anyone to talk to. Nervously, he watched the others drink, just as he noticed Sniper walk into the room, late, and took his seat next to Pyro. He didn't know how the marksman knew this place, but he shrugged and just watched everyone. Then, Demoman sat next to him. "'ey, matey, why aren't ya enjoyin' yer drink?" Engie replied slowly. "I... don't really drink, and uh--" "NONSENSE! Drink up; this is a party! You've gotta let loose and enjoy yourself, laddy!" Slowly, the young man shrugged. "I... guess.." Demoman patted him on the shoulder. "C'MON! Just have fun!" And he took a big gulp out of his XXX beer and walked away. Silently, Engineer took the bottle, and drank small amounts of it at a time. Oddly enough, it tasted fantastic... he wanted more..
Time passed. Most of the team had become tipsy and drunk from the alcohol they received. Only few had not drank; Pyro, because she wore her mask, Sniper, because he hated alcohol with a burning passion, Medic, because she's against alcohol, and Spy, because he left shortly afterwards. Engineer was one of the people tipsy from the alcohol. He sat around with the other drinkers at the table. "So, then... these guys come in, and my sentry takes care 'o them! It was soooo much better than my weapons.." Engie whined, sounding quite tipsy. In a slur of words, Scout jumped in. "Whrrrlllll... ya knoooow... you could always steal some otha's guys' shoot, ya know?" He was then poked in the head by Sniper. "HEY what're you doing? You... VAN CAMPER PERSON!" Sniper facepalmed. "You shouldn't even be havin' dis stuff, mate.." Scout shrugged. "Whatever~ I'm AIETEEN!" Sniper sighed. Pyro sat alone, feeling uncomfortable. The men continued to talk, until Engineer noticed Pyro alone. "...Heeey, bebe.. come with me, Py.." The other guys and girls laughed, but Pyro slowly got up, as did Engie. He took her hand, and walked to an empty corner of the room. "...Let's dance. Dance to our h'art's content~!" Feeling uneasy, Pyro shrugged. "Um... wh'tt'e'vvrr m'kks y'uu huh'ppeh..."

Meanwhile, Sniper had lost interest in the whole alcohol business, so he left quickly. Briefly, he thought of going into his room, but then.. ..I wonder if that RED Snoipah got out safe.. So, he changed his mind and ran out of the hallway, and out of the respawn room. Heading down those wooden "stairs" once more, Sniper ran all the way to the healing room. Slowly, he approached it, and it flashed open. Cautiously peeking inside, he looked around. Nothing... or so he thought. Just as Sniper walked away, he was jumped. The young woman he met yesterday was now sitting on top of him. "Haha! ....Wait..." BLU Sniper muttered as he was being crushed by RED Sniper. She quickly realized her mistake and crawled off. "Sorry..." She got up and extended a hand. Slowly, Sniper, being the proud man he is, got up on his own. "...So, what're you still doing in da base, sheilah?" His voice was a bit softer than he wanted it to be. "Uhm... I was... well.." RED Sniper searched for words. "...Hoping to truely say thanks." BLU Sniper raised an eyebrow. "Huh...?" And then, the unexpected happened. RED Sniper hugged BLU Sniper. "I didn't think... you'd want to save a RED.. like me." She spoke slowly, as if she was a bit afraid to be doing this, but out of pure likeliness, she kept hugging him. BLU Sniper blinked. "Uhhh... well... y-yer welcome, sheilah." He pulled his hat over his eyes, and slowly, he blushed. She let go of him, and smiled sincerely. "..But really.... th-thanks." BLU Sniper nodded. "Yeah, okay... n-now, get outta here." He pointed to the stairs. "..And... let's call a... a truce fer now, okay?" RED Sniper ran to the stairs, but looked back and nodded. "Okay then. See you tomorrow.." And she dashed away, leaving BLU Sniper alone.
