One Class to Another -- Chapter 5
"Vrooom!"
Pyro and Engineer were running around in his room. Pyro had her arms out-stretched like an aeroplane, and she was chasing Engineer. The two were playing a make-believe game, where they pretended to be whatever they wanted. Pyro had her mask lifted to show just her mouth as she "shot" at Engineer. "Pew pew~" She shouted, as Engineer laughed and "shot" back. "Pew!"
Walking down the corridor, the bucket head girl overheard the laughing and "pew"ing, and curiously looked into Engineer's room. "...What the hell? What's going on in here?" Her voice was loud and strong, and also quite fierce. It was enough to stop Pyro and Engineer dead in their tracks. "...uhh.. w-we were um..." Engineer started, feeling embarrassed every second. "...we were... uhh.. p-playing a game!" Pyro finished, forgetting to pull down her mask. The bucket-head girl shook her head. "Games are stupid. You two are so immature.." Pyro crossed her arms and pouted. Engineer blushed slightly due to embarrassment. "Ehehehe... uh..." He scratched his head, feeling a bit uncomfortable. "...Well, anyways.." Bucket-head girl walked into the room. "...I'm the Soldier. You're Engineer, and you're Pyro, am I right?" She extended her hand to Engineer first. He silently shook it, and she shifted her hand to Pyro, who reluctantly shook it as well. "Yeah..." Pyro murmured. "Well... You two should get some sleep! We have a heavy day tomorrow!" And with that, Soldier walked out.
Pyro looked at Engineer, and pulled down her mask. Engineer looked back at Pyro, and then chuckled. "...Wh'tt's soh f'nn'ee?" Asked the curious Pyro. "Ohhh, nothin'.. hehehe." Engineer replied. "...But that game we played was perty fun, even if it was childish.." Pyro grinned under her mask. "R'lly?" She giggled, and hugged Engineer tightly. "..H-hey..! T-take it e-easy, gal..!" Pyro had a crushing grip for such a pretty-sounding woman. "S'rry.." She said, letting go of Engineer. He smiled again. "...We should sleep. It's sundown and it don't look like we're getting any food." Pyro nodded. " 'k! G'n'tt!" And with that, she waved and ran out the door. Engineer turned his interest to the papers and journal. "...hmmm.."
Knock knock.
Engineer was slowly awakened by the sound of soft knocking. He looked around. The room was pitch black, so he slowly got up, and tried to feel around for the door. Upon feeling a door knob, the builder turned it, and slowly opened the door. Pyro was standing at the door once more, shivering a bit. Something seemed different about her, though he couldn't tell in the absolute darkness. "...Py? What're you..?" She shook her head. "I couldn't sleep... I had a nightmare." Her voice quavered, and she seemed scared. ".....Could I sleep with you? Just for tonight..?" Engineer blinked. "...Sleep with me..? Uhhhh..." He couldn't help but blush a bit. "..Well, s-sure.." Py's mood instantly brightened. "..Thank you..!" She hugged Engineer again. "...You're the best, Engie." His face grew a bright red, and he hugged Pyro back. "...Y-Yer welcome, Py... hehehe.." Slowly, the two found their way back to the bed. Engineer shoved all the "crap" off of his bed, and then sat on it. "Alrighty... this is my side, and there's yer side.." He patted the other side of his bed. Slowly, the two laid down, side by side. "..Are you ready for tomorrow?" Pyro asked, staring at Engineer. He shrugged. "Not sure... I'm nervous 'bout it." But then, his face was met by a thumbs up. "Don't worry! I'll protect you... One way or another." The two then laughed together. "...Then I'll be sure to return th' favor, Py." Slowly, the two friends began to drift to sleep...
