Street Heroes Prologue Chapter
New Brawl City
Once, not that long ago, this was a city of strength, community, friendship & peace. Like all cities, it had its problems, and like all cities there were criminals who broke the law every now and again. But for the most part, this was an ideal place to live…
…but that was before “the uprising”.
No one saw it coming, and none could predict that it would happen. All of a sudden, street gangs began appearing all over, causing havoc, pain & mayhem wherever they went. They warred with one another in an attempt to rule the streets of the city, because whoever ruled on the streets ruled the city. But this was no ordinary battle. Some gangs had obtained strange & advanced technologies that seemed like something out of a sci-fi novel to increase their strength, while other gangs somehow obtained magical powers that let them wield the very force of the elements themselves.
No one knows how they got these powers or weapons, but they became so powerful that not even the military could stand against them. Now, almost fifteen years later, the city is in ruin & run by the “Top Ten”, the ten most ruthless & dangerous gangs in the entire city. All access to the outside world has been cut off by an impenetrable wall erected around the city by the military, and all of the innocent civilians are either giving in and joining up with the gangs for survival, or struggle to try and survive on what they can scavenge.
All seems hopeless for this once proud city, but there is still hope for those who still cling to it. One gang, calling themselves the “Street Heroes”, are trying to save New Brawl City, and bring an end to this senseless war before it breaches through the barrier wall. Though small in numbers, they’ve made a huge impact against the warring gangs, and have brought the hope for survival back to the innocent.
This story follows Dash, a twelve-year- old Street Heroes initiate. He dreams of becoming a full-fledged Street Hero and helping to save his home of New Brawl City. But he may soon find that his role in this war is more important than what anyone can fathom…
